Well you can use the xr70 jug on a xr50 so it sounds reasonable that you could use the 88cc kit from powroll. including the cam and carb they offer. BBR and PAX also make kits.

Is it my imagination or do they not make mods for the 70? I see many offer them for the 50/80/100 but not the 70. Is it perhaps the parts are interchangable. For example will the BBR pipe for the 50 or 80 fit a 70?
Thanks

Philip.

Check with the parts people at your local Honda shop. See if they have a XR100 and an XR70 piston in stock. Compare the two. Check the wrist pin location, overall heighth, length, etc.

If I remember correctly,,(Ha, that's pretty funny  ),the pistons will interchange and there is enough material in the XR70 cylinder sleeve to bore it out to an XR100. A camshaft would help alot and also porting the cylinder head.

Check with Lauri at Web-cam as to which cam is available.

Check the piston pin diameter on that sugestion. There is differences between the XR's.

The XR70 engine looks like the CT110 we get over here in Australia. Basically a step through bike / scooter. I know that pistons etc are sometims interchangeable. A big bore XR70 Say a 90cc piston out of Hondas range would be the best power for $$$ on a budget. Bit like a 95cc XR80 ;)
