Hello to everyone,I just bought a 86' xr80 for my daughter from a buddy of mine. The bike used to run good, but it has sat in a shed for a year.I cleaned the carb an put in a knew plug, but there is no spark. So I cleaned all the electrical connections an I even tried disconneting the kill switch.Which still didn't work, but for some reason you can stick a screw driver into the plug cap an kick it over.An you can feel a shock, but it when you put the plug in the cap you can't see the spark. After the holidays I plan on buying a flywheel puller to check the stator an points.Any ideas will be appreicated......

Yeah, but you need to pull the flywheel because it's the same idea you have. :)

or maybe just check the cdi box, after a bike sits a while and is that old that can happen, happened to my 1985 yz80, it was dying and it didnt have enough spark to turn the bike over so i had to put some gas on the plug to get a little extra fire
