Yamaha technical question... Newbie

First post!!! Hello all!!

Considering a motor swap between a yamaha yz250f and a 450. Can anyone tell me if the cases are close enough to make the swap almost seamless... There is a method to my madness.....
Probably not what you are thinking....

I actually want to put a 250 in the 450 frame.....
