newbe with a question bout Yz

Hi , new to this forum had a question I was hoping u could help with . I have a 1999 Yz 125 with blown motor. And just picked up a 2001 yz 250. Does anyone know what parts are interchangeable between those two bikes. Example can I swap the front shocks ? Or are the frames the same? Can I swap the swingarms ? What can I use off the 125? Are the radiators the same? Any help greatly appreciated .

Frame no.

Radiators maybe, the inlets are different sizes. You need to compare them side by side.

Front shocks, no such thing. The front forks are valved and sprung different for the two bikes. The 2001 will probably have a larger diameter, measure them.

Swingarms no.

so the plastics are bout the only thing I can use off the 125

Not sure partner. If so it would be the fenders and number plates. It should be easy to figure out if you have both bikes.
