Yz 125 Plastics Interchangeable?

Hi everyone
im in the middle of choosing between 3 or 4 yz 125's
I plan on buying a set of factory effex graphics kit
altho, it says that its only for 2002-2007
If i purchased a 2001 or a 1999 yz 125, could i buy plastics from an 02-07 (or atleast the the shroud?) and put them on the 99 or 01?

im sorry if this has been asked before. i tried searching. but no go

Im pretty sure they won't fit without some drilling or improvising.

why don't you just wait until you purchase your bike to buy plastic or graphics?

the reason is because im very confident in buying a SPECIFIC set of graphics from factory effex. and on their website it has an "02-07" beside the kit

That makes sense, but is it worth the cost or inconvinence to buy graphics that might not fit your bike? Do they only make the graphics for bikes that are '02 and newer? Im pretty sure that factory effex makes graphics for some older bikes as well as the newer ones.

I think your best bet is to call up factory effex and see what they have to offer. Because most likely, the website you were looking at, only showcased sets of graphics that sell more often than others, plus it could be all their distributors have to offer them as well. :whoa:
