Ok then..... what was the big change from the YZ250 '02 to the '03.
I thought that the '02 was when Yamaha changed something magical and the motor had this "electric" pull from down low all the way up...... ;)

They didn't change much. Notable changes are:
-Taller 2nd gear
-Exhaust port slightly raised and enlarged, and cylinder head volume decreased accordingly
-Suspension stiffened-up a little
-Integrated rear master cylinder and reservoir
-Anodized swingarm instead of painted

Don't you love back issues?

My '03 is still bone stock, and I love it.

I rode studboys 02. The motor is magical compared to the older YZ's. Honestly, I cannot think of anything I would change with the 02 motor. It felt perfect to me.
