Hey guys,
I have a 2003 YZ250. I believe stock gearing is 14/50. Is this correct? The front sprocket is a 13 tooth, rear is 50. It does have good bottom end, however, I would like just a little more without sacrificing much more top end. I do alot of off road riding and hill climbs. Could I accomplish this by going to a 51 tooth sprocket on the rear? Any suggestions or input is really appreciated.

One more tooth would be a "little" so go for it. The YZ is known for its low to mid range as a two stroke and if there is any problem with that motor it is that it has too much low to mid hit making the bike have issues with wheel spin. A fly wheel weight makes the power that you have more useable. Just a thought.
