Hey all,
I'm generally a 2 stroker...however, I can get a YZ 426 for the same price as the 250's i'm looking at, which would be better for a motocross type riding...i don't care if i clutch it a lot, i just want whats best...

Thanks,
Chris

What year are the 250's you are referring to, I am assuming you are referring to 250 2 strokes? If you are talking newer model 250's then I would recommend them over the 426. In my opinion the same year or newer 250 2 stroke handles better, is lighter, much easier to start and generally easier to ride. Even older model 250's exhibit these same advantages over the 426. This is just my opinion but a buddy of mine owned a 2001 426 and those were many of his and my complaints about the bike when compared to the 250 2-strokes. There are plenty of people on this site that own or have owned the 426 and really liked it so it is definitely a matter of personal preference, but if it were me I would choose the 250 2 stroke over the 426 assuming we are talking comparable model years.

I agree with JST122, as painful as that may be for me since I'm trying to sell my 426f. It's all a matter of riding style. I agree with the 2T being lighter, easier to start, and lighter, but IMO there aren't many bikes easier to ride than the yzf's.
