YZ To WR426 transmission????

I have a 2000 YZ 426 and would like to find a transmission from a WR to better gear it for the woods. Has anyone done this and if so could you provide details?

Most guys I know just run the wr 5th gear set for a OD, and gear accordingly

That is great what would be needed for a 1st and 5th gear swap? Would gearing from a 2000 Wr go right in?

Should be the same. Go online and check a parts fich to compare part numbers with a '00 and count teeth.

The thread did not list the 1st or 2nd gear but it is available from Yamaha. I'm looking to make my YZ 250 two stroke into a WR.
