'00 426 or '01 426

[Big Tuna]

Has anyone ridden both, and are the upgrades on the '01 worth spending an extra chunk of money on, say 500-1000 dollars.
Both bikes are in great shape, and I think the '00 has less hours on it from the looks of things.
Please give me some feedback on this I may be doing the deal this weekend.
