01 CR250 Clutch basket to Gear questions

Hi, I was hoping someone could please tell me about how much play is allowable on the clutch basket gear. Is there cushions in the stock clutch basket and if so what are these "Cushions" made of? If I hold my "Stock" Clutch basket with one hand It seems I can move the gear atleast an 1/8'' back and forth. Is this acceptable?? Thanks to the great minds on here in advance.

Whilst it is still connected to the bike, u will indeed be able to spin the basket by hand, forward and backward, about 3~5mm...great bike, btw...
