1976 Suzuki TS400 exhaust issues...

Hello everyone,

I recently bought a 1976 TS400 as a restoration project. Most of the bike is fine and it runs too. The only major issue is the exhaust which is dented in several places. I was wondering if I can change the cylinder jug to a tm400 and use a tm400 exhaust or a rm400 exhaust (both of which are more readily available than a ts400 exhaust). The only issue I can see with this is the frame clearance, because of the difference in the downtubes on the ts400 and the tm400. Can someone please help me with this issue?

Thanks

There are several places that repair two-stroke exhausts. One is Pacific Crest Pipe Repair. They've been around for some time and have a good reputation.Cheaper and easier than swapping top ends.I just checked the site and they offer vintage pipe repair specifically.
