Hey all
Great site here, found lots of help but now im stuck. Just bought a used kdx200 for myself cause i got
my son a new bike for xmas (and he cant ride alone).

Anyhow a quick history of the last week.
test ride on the bike, runs great so i buy it, get it home,
start it, idle starts increasing (scary high) hit kill sw.
Bike will not start again. change plug, empty tank, clean tank
and totally clogged petcock. put it all back together, fill tank
all gas pours out the overflow.remove carb, floats stuck,
needle valve stuck, clean it all, everything looks good
EXCEPT
i think im missing the main jet.
Does the main jet snap into the plastic holder?

I have manuals and diagrams but it is still not clear to me.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Jason
So let me see if i have this right.
The jet main screws into the jet needle and holds the ring in place?

Is there a brass coupling with a groove around the center that snaps into the center of this plastic ring?
Thats what i have when i took apart the carb.

Thanks
Scott

FYI carb parts for this bike are becoming hard to get
ie: Needle is not made or available anymore...
Buy the cylimers manual, it will have the diagrams you need.......
