1988 kdx200 odo drive unit swap

I have a 1988 kdx 200 that has a broken electrical odo drive unit.I
know that some model years came with a mechanical odometer drive unit,will any of these mechinical drives work on my 1988?:ugg:

If your pick up is the problem and you like the stock head unit then I'd suggest adapting an aftermarket pick-up. Jeff Fredette at Fredette Racing Products sells one and so does Trail Tech or check out http://justkdx.dirtrider.net/cyclecomputer.html and build your own.

Thanks for the info david.I should have made my post more clear,I have a
mechinical speedo/odo that I want to adapt on my kdx.Just don't know if
a factory drive exsists that will let me do this.

If you still have the factory reedswitch pick-up you might consider just installing a cycle computer. You get both a speedo and an odo.

I wouldn't be surprised if a mechanical drive off a newer KDX would fit your bike. My best suggestion would be to call Jeff at Fredette Racing Products, tell him what you'd like to do and run the question by him. He'll likely have a solution for you.
