My friend had the seat and tank stolen off of his 99 kdx 220 a few weeks ago. He already bought a new tank and shrouds but really doesn't want to bite the bullet and pay for a whole new seat. I was wondering what years had the same seat, and if anyone knows if a 98 kx 125 seat may fit? Any info will be much appreciated.

G.H. is right as far as the 220 goes but a 96 200 seat and frame is the same so wtd.
Order a ceet gripper and call it a day. by the time you find a good used one, you will have missed a lot of ride time. The used ones I've seen aren't worth the effort of getting in your car to get it.

Is there some difference between the seats from 1995 to 2006??

KDX200 similar seat is 1995 - 2006 and KDX220 is 1997 - 2005, unless someone knows something odd so they won't match up (besides color).

KDX220 was manufactured from 97 - 05, the KDX200 (Last updated) 95- 06.
I do not know why the seats would be different since everything is identical except for the motor (porting & 20cc jug increase) & O-ring chain. Anything pre 95 I would believe there would be a fitment problem

I looked on the buykawasaki site and it looks like 2003 and newer have some damper pads for where it hits a few frame rails. Maybe they will fit and maybe they won't. Just look on the buykawasaki.com site and match up parts numbers to find what your friend wants. He can re-foam or re-cover a used e-Bay seat to his liking.

Good luck with it.
