I have a 2002 YZ426 and the fork seals need replaced and while im at it im gonna get some stiffer springs. The owners manual has a good front fork tear down and rebuild section. I was thinking about attmepting this myself. I have good mechanical skills and have a good idea of how to do it, but have never had a set of forks apart. So my real question is... try it myself or take it to a dealer? Thanks

It's not a tough job if you have the manual. Seal driver and damper holder make the job easier.

Be sure to replace the bushings while you have it apart.
