Who makes the best Skid Plate and Pipe Protection for the 2003 450 EXC?

We typically ride technical/rocky terrain i.e. Paragon Adventure Park.

Thank you in advance.

Enduro Engineering makes a real nice skid plate. Try flatland racing for a nice pipe guard.

another vote for the enduro engineering skidplate. i don't use a pipe guard. i have heard good things about the ktm plastic skid plate that bolts on. stay away from the quick release version. if i were to buy a pipe guard, i would get the eline carbon fiber.

Whats wrong with the quick release type skid plate, I was just getting ready to place an order to KTMWORLD, they have the skid plates for $70 and the 6-day skid plate for $75. KTM`s require frequent oil change and the Quik-release would help save time? Maybe?

i don't trust those dzeus fasteners they use to hold it on. there's only one of them holding the skid plate on. the other plastic skid plate only requires two bolts to be removed and then it swings out the way. or, if you get an EE skid plate, you don't have to remove it to change the oil.

I use the quick release skid plate and no problems at all, there is no give on bottom as it fits snug to the frame, you could hammer it all day on rocks, and I don;t think it would have any affect on the fastner. When was the last time you saw a side cover come open? It you are really worried drill a small hole beside fastner and run a zap strap thru.

The E-Line Carbon Skid Plates fit well and worked just as well; however with the pipe guards we had some problems with fit. We plan on calling E-Line to discuss.
