I set my race sag to 103-104 and then measured my bike sag. The bike sag was 33mm. This seems to indicate that I need a softer spring.

This confuses me because I'm 170lbs (without gear). Any insights? I'm brand new to this whole suspension thing. Never had the courage to even touch the clickers.

Thanks for any help

Well 103-104mm is a little low but not much. If you had your sag at around 100 that would pick up the static sag a little. The manual recomends between 90mm and 100mm. I like mine on that bike around 100mm. So if you prefer your sag a little on the low side then calculate that into the typical sag / static sag #'s.
That spring is fine for 170#'s.

I measured similar on my '01 RM-250.

155lbs
90mm sag
33mm static sag

Spring too hard?? or just a little too hard and not worth worrying about??

Thanks for your input. I got everything sorted out this weekend. With the stock settings my static sag was 30mm.
