2008 RMZ 250 Gearbox Problems

Anyone having problems with their 2008 Suzuki RMZ 250 gearbox? Sounds similar to the problems posted last year with the 2007 model. My son almost came off his bike big time yesterday - two other riders at the same meeting also have same problem.

My son has an 07, we've had clutch issues but no shifting issues. Anyone I know with 07's that had shifting issues were resolved with the updated detent spring. None of the 08's I know have had any clutch or shifting issues.

My Son has a 2008 RMZ 250. Something broke in the transmission and the metal shavings blocked the oil pump which ruined the cams and the head. The bike had 12 hours on it. Our dealer said it was a material defect and covered the parts but I still had to fork out
500 euros for labor. This will be our last Suzuki.

HI my name is john davenport and i am writing from a hospital ward in coventry england,i rode my 2008 rmz 250 forthe second time sun 14th sept which i had just part exchanged for my 2007 yz125(big mistake).im having difficulty writing this so to make it simple as was about to launch from one of my favorite jumps it just went into neutral sending me overthe bars and now in hospital with a my right wrist broken many times and waiting on my second surgery im of work for 3 months and will not ride the bike again as im afraid it could happen again.how can suzuki allow this,how can they sell abike with such a defect.i am writing and asking anyone who has had any similar problems to please contact me with there experiences or views as i am planning on sending my case and others to suzuki and all major motocross magazines .
i am writing using the hospital pay as you use computer and having much difficulty due to my condition.so i apologise for any slow responses,if you can help please reply.thank you.

have two of these bike racing and they both have had trouble with false neutrals as there is a clip that holds third and forth in place and this is concaving under pressure the both bikes had the same problem so false neutral needs the clip replaced if you don't the gearbox will soon give trouble
