I am experiencing hs deflection on my 01 250exc. I have tried many combos of clicker settings. Currently at 20 out on comp and 20 out on rebound. This is the first oil change for this bike and I was wondering what oil height and wt would you suggest. It comes with 5 wt, as I understand, and I have ordered 2.5 wt synthetic silkolene. I don't want to revalve yet, but have put in new springs. The bike is deflecting on rocks and roots, but on whoops and less sharp objects, it is fine. I race scrambles and trail ride. After the new springs, I haven't noticed any bottoming. I am also not using the last 1.5-2 inches of travel, or so it seems. Any ideas form the KTM gurus? Thanks

4banger,
Your idea to lower the oil is fine. I would go into the 140-150 range. This will get you using more travel. Also if you wat you can use a thinner oil, however I think you'll find that it primalry impacts the clicker range.
