84 KDX 250 parts question

Can I use a complete front brake lever with the cable from an 80 KDX 400 on my 84 KDX 250? Thanks.

look it up in a parts unlimited catolog you have to look at both bikes and see if the part # is the same exaple: motion pro cables ... # for the 400......3 for the 250 ...are they the same..if so it will work

I could not find any reference to the kdx400 but all other models back to 1980 (kdx 175 kdx200 ) all use the same front brake cable from 1980 to 1985 so i'd say yes it will fit
but a new cable is only 10 bucks and all levers are universal "mostly"

Thanks guys. Well I called kawasaki and they had a different part number for both so I guess it won't work? For the brake I need the perch too so Iam trying to keep an eye out.
