any good? Reason being, advertised in the local trade paper was a 94 Honda CR250. I rang, I saw, and it so happens to be an 88 model rather than the 94 that was advertised. Anyway I took the beast for strope up the road and man did this bike pull hard, I had almost forgotten how cool 2 strokes are.
What I need to know is this model any good (apart from getting a little long in the tooth). What weaknesses does this bike have or would I be better off buying a later model CR.
year as ok, but look it over good i bought an old bike cause it was cheap, but found i was better off paying on a new bike than fixing up an old bike, seemed like it cost about 100 a month in upkeep/restoring of old bike (new tires, chain/sprocket, engine job, pipe, plastic, ignition, etc) or 100 in payments of a new bike.
i had one, make sure you check the water/coolant- it seems to be that on mine the clutch case/ water pump cover would rot quicker than an egg in the desert!
