I am currently racing a 1989 Suzuki RM 250 in the Vet class in local TT and short track events.

I am not bound by normal AMA regs, in that I am running an age-plus class. I am looking to add some hp to this bike. I know its old, but I have the suspension DTX'd and love the bike.

Is there anything that can be done to this dinosaur to make it more competitive? I'm an old AA, expert rider and feel that its not necessarily all me keeping me back. I need this thing to go faster!

I have no problem going Big Bore.

Do you have any recommendations that I can have Eric Gorr do to make this slow, otherwise great bike, more competitive? I know this thing is due for bottom end service (read rebuild) as well. I know I know... go buy a new bike... I just hate to give this thing up!!

Thanks.

Well what have you already done to it? Is it currently bone stock?

89 Rm250

Its not quite stock....

ProCircuit pipe, Delta 2 reed block, new carb, RaceTech Suspension (DTX), etc.

Other than bolt on stuff, yes, the engine is stock.

Thanks!!
