Ok, I recently did a transplant on my xr400 and installed a complete 1991 cr250 front end. I know they're showa 45mm forks. Anyways, I was wondering how much oil each fork leg should contain and how much oil for a 190pound rider. The forks to my knowledge are stock.
Another thing, one fork leg(this is with the forks off of the bike) is harder to push down than the other one.
The right fork feel like compression is on, but it isn't. It also doesn't travel as far.
The left fork feels like compression is off(which it is turned off) and travels just like I believe it should
The right fork recently had a bit of ATF(mobil1) added to it just to top it off to what I believed was the fill line. I believe the problem arised after doing that but I removed alot of oil from the right fork and it still feels.. like compression is turned on(which it isn't)
