Hey every one, I have question about the condition of my wr's gear box. I'm using the Honda HP trans oil 80/85W and change it about every 3 rides or so. As you know the Honda oil is clear and red, like ATF, when gose in, but when I drain in it looks like strawberry milk. I'm pretty sure this isn't right. The tranny shifts fine, except for occasionally hitting neautral between 1st, and 2nd gear. I thought maybe the crank seal on the right side was bad, letting by-products of combustion mix with the tranny oil causing this condition. I'm replacing that. Dose anyone have any other thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Do you ride in alot of water? That could be the cause. I find that the honda gear oil does undergo alot of color change from the time it goes in to the time it goes out.

If drain more of this strawberry milk out than you put gearoil in and your coolant level is low I would change the water pump seal.
