I have a question maybe someone can help me with.. I have a 97 cr250 with a rekluse clutch.. about 8 months ago I put some EBC kevlar clutch plates in it.. It started making a "wierd" noise when the clutch seemed to be under some strain mainly when pulling away from a stop up a hill.. sounded like a grinding noise, kinda like bad crank bearings or something.. I checked the crank for play and found NONE. so I figured maybe the clutch plates were worn out.. they were still within spects.. anyway.. what I DID find was some notches on some of the clutch basket petals inside were the tabs from the clutch plates contact.. is this normal?? Im guessing its not,, thanks for any help

I dont know if this will help or not. I asked one of the famous clutch basket people about the Kevlar plates. He said..."Dont ever use them." I asked why???? He said "It will eat anything it touches"

I took it as gospel and never tried.
