took 1,679 pics

and a few were ok... its a lot to go through, but looking forrward to finding the better ones. overcast day lent some photo challenges. at least I got to use F stops in the 4.0 to 4.5 range.

Thanks, I have a good number of pics, of #161. He and his race competition Shane put on a good show.

The Jump shots were tough, due to the sky. I think I changed over to matrix metering, whcih might have been a mistake.
lot of curves adjustment.

The EXIF says that first shot was done at 3 AM.... It's awful bright in Texas at 3 AM.

Nice pics man!

The first one is my favourite, really top stuff. Maybe a little quicker shutter speed would have helped but I know its hard to shoot fast in low light conditions.

Thanks, I could have bumped the ISO up... But I thought I would experiment with the general conditions. Sometimes the shutter was 160th. usually around 250, but changing directions could have a noticable metering change.
Later I used my SB800 flash. though it could only get so many shots given the recharge time and battery's charge.

On the last one were you looking for something specific? I like the shot in general but find the horizon line to be a real problem for me.

I will think about that next time out!
