Just got a 2000 Yz 125. And I need to know a few things.
1.What mix do I use for Bel-ray H1R? 32:1? Does it matter that it has a 136 Big Bore?
2.If I use No-toil filter oil do i have to buy a cleaner to clean it or can I use dishsoap.
3.What tranny oil should I use? On my 80 I used Bel-ray 80wt.

For a 125 you want to start at 30:1 if you ride hard. I stick with green oils like yamalube at 30:1 the h1r is designed for low smoke so 32:1 might seem like alot. The hard you ride the more oil you need. Start with alot then taper off. Use the no toil cleaner to get the oil off. Soap might work but not very good. with the no toil you can do it in the kitchen sink because it is biodegradeable. As far as tranny oil goes use bel-ray or silkolene. 75w or 80w is fine. It shouldnt make much of a difference. Which ever is closer on the shelf when you walk by.

If you use the no-toil then you should use the no-toil cleaner as well. it just works great and its safe enough to use it in the kitchen sink without getting smacked.

I had a 2001 YZ 125 and used H1R mixed at 36:1, no Toil (use the No Toil cleaner), and Bel Ray 85 wt gear oil. All of these things worked perfectly and never caused me any problems as all. Good choices in my opinion.

BTW, my riding style is to really use all of a gear, so I revved the crap out of my bike. When people were hitting jumps in third, I was doing them pinned in second. So, the H1R and Bel Ray gear oil did their job under tough conditions.
