Thank you, holyroller1. I found many of the cartoons so moving they brought tears to my eyes, especially the one where the firemen reach the top. I also love Oliphant's depiction of Uncle Sam baring his right arm. In some strange way, these cartoons have the power to evoke stronger emotions even than the pictures of the disaster itself, in some cases. Thanks again. I'll pass this along.

The one that really got me was the one from my home town, Cincinnati Post. It has the phone laying in the debris. It immediately brought tears to these eyes.:(

Each one of those stirs a wide range of emotions, but the one that choked me up is the one with the firemen & policemen at the gates of heaven and one of the firemen is speaking into a radio that they had reached the top.

What a waste to have lost such brave people.

Thanks for the link. All the cartoons and images are really great.
My favorite was the angels saying four planes had landed at Heaven International Airport.....after a stop off in Hell.
