Yes, I’ve done the search, but I have a simple question:
Stock KDX with only reeds and a 12/47 gearing with a rookie rider. Running a paddle at the dunes...bad idea? If I’m jetted rich am I really at risk of blowing it up?
Nothing? I meant that as a serious question. I'm itchin to give the sand a try, but I'm a long way from having my bike prepped a little better (more than stock power). It is gonna work, or am I better off waiting for the pipe, etc...
It all depends on how much you weigh. If you're relatively light (under 200) then the KDX will do just fine in the sand. I saw a guy at the dunes last year who ran a paddle on a KDX and he was haulin' all over the place.
