I just received my lighting kit from Eline for my 01 YZ 250. I need to remove the flywheel nut in order to install the lighting coil.

1)What's the best method for this? Will I need any special tools?
2)Has anyone used this lighting kit for their 2 stroke?
3)Is there sufficient lighting for night riding? My headlight consists of two lights w/35watt bulbs. I am planning on switching out for two 50W bulbs(kit provides 200w total for front headlights and tailight)

How much difference will I notice in bottom end and with engine breaking?

Thanks.

You will need the proper flywheel puller. See your dealer about getting one.

DO NOT use a finger type puller. It could easily damage the flywheel.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Layton. I didn't need to remove the flywheel, only the nut.

Turns out my gasket needs replacing for the ignition cover, so I won't be able to test out the lights until I receive a new one.

Oh, I thought you would have to remove the flywheel. My mistake! :)

If you have 200 watts you should be able to run those lights.
