air box mod

I'm thinking of making a modification to my air box that I haven't heard of yet. I want to be able to acces the filter from the side :coocoo: . Before puting a saw to my air box i'd like to know if anyone has ever tried this before .If anyone has ideas or altenatives on to how to do this please let me know.

The only thing I'd worry about is water or riding in wet conditions. Otherwise, I see no real issues.
