hey guys,

i was dreaming the other day about the perfect bike ahuler and i decided that i wanted a dakota or dodge ram. the only thing is that i would like a 4x4 with a higher suspenison....my question is will airbag suspension give me a good ride, hauling and performance handling? i know it will kneel so that i could load bikes easily......now will this actually happen, no, but its fun to pretend...right?
thanks in advance

air bags ride great atleast in cars i am familar with the ride on the ford or linc cars w/air bags but are very expensive after 60 or so thousand miles when they start leaking are air susp bags fact equipment on these trucks good luck what ever you get i dont know how far they would kneel down to regular ride height only probable

Kawierider, i see that your from Michigan, so im guessing that you've never been to glamis where you will see just about every crazy off road idea that anyone has ever thought of.Can you say boat on wheels? Literally, an actual boat:eek: I've seen lots of high dollar sand buggies with air bags and King off-road race shocks, so im guessing that they can give a pretty good ride. I've even seen Excursions with airbags off of a train:p

For a nice truck that is your daily driver, I would use an actual suspension lift kit to lift my truck and air bags in the rear to level the truck as needed when hauling or towing a load. Just picture what would happen if you used those air bags to lift your truck for clearance over some big tires and then one day the air bag failed. I know the air bags are cheap and maybe that is why you are considering them for a lift. My advice for a cheap effective lift to clear tires would be a body lift.

good idea.

you guys are right ive never been to glamis. oh but do i wnat to go. I actually wont end up doign this product its more of jsut an idea i thought would be cool. how reliable are new airbag kits....Ive heard they are reliable now i mean they've been on trucks for years. I wouoldnt use it to lift the truck much i would keep the stock height if i were to do it becasue i dont need a lift i would like the adjsutable height though so that it would be easy to load bikes. Its not a bad idea, but it seems like its got alot of drawbacks. oh well.
