Last year I read up on most of the knee injuries. At the time I had an mri done. Knee was good to go after a couple of months of pt. Now here's my "new" question....After a little mishap on a jump today I ended up going over the bars, not real hard though, now my right knee hurts pretty bad but it is right above my kneecap. Feels fine in the hollow spot under it. Is there anything above the kneecap to be concerned about? Or is it just going to be a bruise and sore for awhile? Thanks for the help....

Sounds like a doctor visit might be in order. Basically above the knee is a lot of the muscle insertion points for the area. The knee cap itself has ligaments that hold it in place. Top and bottom. SPAM REMOVED. Good luck
