I've been riding bikes since I was 17 (1979) but only got into dirt bikes quite late (1998).
I started my dirt biking experience with a DR600, which was rubbish and the rear subframe would break at the first sight of anything off road.
Got rid of that and bought a KTM GS600 which had originally been run by Joan "Nani" Roma to win the Baja Aragon in 1995. Semi-works engine from what I can figure, but the rest is pretty well stock. The generator went bang on that a couple of years ago and I'm looking for a replacement geni for it.
In the mean time, I'm hoping to pick up a newer KTM 400 or maybe even a DRZ 400. In any case, I'm looking for something biggish with an electric foot. It'll also need to (eventually) have a larger tank than stock.
I also have a Suzuki TL1000S and SV650S for road riding and my son has a KTM 50 adventure and a 65SX for learning about gears.
I live in north east Spain (catalunya) so we have to deal with a lot of dust both on track and in filtres etc.
Well, that's me for the mo. Looking forward to participating in the forum.
