Arbor Day Family Enduro

The Family Enduro in Kalkaska will be this weekend. Round # 2 of the Family Enduro Series.
The course has been mileaged - yes there was snow on the ground, but the rain this week and sunshine on Thursday/Friday will provide perfect riding conditions for this weekend.
I will be headed to Kalkaska on Wednesday night to finish up the preparation. If anyone is interested in a ride on Thursday, be at the staging area at 10:00am.
Two of our FES sponsors will be providing hot dogs and hamburgers after the event. Thanks to Greg and Don!!

We had a great event in Roselawn this past weekend and I hope we have a repeat in Kalkaska.

Unfortunately, we won't be able to go this year. I have one part timer on vacation and one of my managers is on leave. Oh and the fact that I was off last weekend...

We have had fun the past couple of years, hopefully we can make it next year.

F&S - looks like we cant make it this weekend. I do hope to help out with the Rose City FES in May though (you need to draft Lietzke into duty as well!) Send me email when you know when you will be starting working on Rose City.

Rick - call Kerry L. - she is looking for a male escort...err...someone to help her timekeep etc. ;^) Mike is going to be sticking with their daughter and Kerry wants some help!

Good news - snow has melted and the trail is marked.

Still working on the route sheet it will not be available online.

Mike and Tracie will miss you guys. Scott, tell your dad that Mandi agreed to ride on his minute.

It is a long loop - 25 miles, but we will have a gas available and trucks available is anyone wants to quit early. We had a couple of concerns about last years event - whoops and hills. We did make some reroutes to avoid these areas and make the last part of the event more family friendly.

The weather forecast is great! Leave the coats and umbrellas at home.

That is an understatement. WOW was the weather forecast WRONG!!!

Thanks to everyone who turned out to ride and help at the event. We had 192 riders - we almost ran out of numbers.

Based on the number of smiles, I would say it was a very good day.

I'll second that! I think the camper was dragging in the water holes coming out of the woods yesterday!

Thanks to all those who put in the time for this one. The kids had a great time regardless of the weather. Trophies went to school and daycare today! :) Mr Mauer, here is how much the kids got you on the mind.............doing some rhyming homework last night, and the word is flower! Justin runs thru a few and then laughs a little. I say what is so funny, he says I don't want to tell you, Why not? He says Mauer! I guess he doens't see you as a flower! You the man!
