I'm not sure how this play EVER managed to survive before you two came along to keep it all on track.

Well it's true! We're young and there's nothing to be ashamed of! We can bring good points and do mistakes just like older people!

Okie wasn't born in 1987. That's what I meant. Just stop posting. It's stupid. Whatever you say, every mod and admin will grind you to the ground. So just give it up.

I fixed your posting problem didn't I ? Were any of your posts lost? No. Sorry, I don't always have time to respond to the loads of PM's /Emails I get everyday. I thought that your problem being fixed would suffice.

Now quit being a freakin whinner and carry on.

I can tell you a few things that are facts. Even though I am not a real swami, and just play one on the internet...

One fact is that many here at DRN like you, Rob.
Why? Because you are an adult that is half way intelligent, and you ride dirt bikes.
The avatar hack alone was evidence that you aren't considered a complete moron.
Like I stated previously, it was more an act of endearment than not.
Do you realize how many here have been waiting for years and years for a personalized avatar, yet didn't get one? Avatars used to be a sacred thing here...and we had no control over them. And many that were graced with a personalized avatar may not have thought the artwork was as flattering as they would have wanted, but in most every instance the avatar held some event or truth, be it fact or simply percieved, about that member.

Some members have been graced with some less than flattering avatars over the years, and most every instance the member was a real tool...and was given an avatar fit for a real tool. But, it didn't last. Etiher that member decided that they would simpy bolt from this mean ass place, while others decided to take a deeper look at why they were put through such a public display of ridicule.
But...was it ridicule, or perhaps a way to say to the member "hey, you can stay here because you have shown a bit of worth to the board, but you may want to work on the part that has folks all in an uproar".
Some leave and take with them the story of how mean and evil Bob and his henchman Rich are. The storys abound at other sites that are saturated with folks who simply did not cut it here. They were either complete numbskulls that weren't worth the time, or they simply were looking for something other than what DRN has to offer.
Many of these morons are now moderators at other sites...not sure if that says anything to us or not...

How many times do you think I have come within a gnats tool of wearing the butt hat avatar? I am one of the most controvercial folks here...and if you want to parse through threads of mine that number well into the 5 figures...you will see what I mean.
I have opened my trap, on more than a few occasions, and placed my foot firmly in.
Most of my faux pas were in the technical arena, as I am pretty much politically perfect, as you will surely agree.

In any event, I find that there are no other dirt bike sites that really have the integrity that DRN has. All of the mods...and I mean ALL of them, seem to have the very same logic in mind as they do their duties. And it has meant that this place continues to thrive as probably the most respected dirt bike site on the web.

And there is one more thing...many of us have met and ridden with one another.
That tends to melt the limburger off the meat.
What I mean is, when folks meet in person, we often find that the percieved personality of a member may not be exactly as it is portrayed on the board. Other times it is spot on with how they are on the boards.
Take me for example...many here thought I was an old curmudgeon that was ready to argue at every instance on just about any topic...and they found that their perception from the board was dead nuts in real life. :)

Others like Pred and Rich are seen here as very complacent, nurturing types. From reading their stuff one may see them as meek and mild...very non-combative to say the least. But in real life....these guys are even more nancy-boyish than you can imagine. Lil squirts with big time chips on their shoulders. Afraid to get dirty, and always compalining about the small stuff. Sheesh.

I suggest that you take advantage of the next DirtWeek.
Come break bread and bust head with us. And stop sweating the small stuff like Pred and Rich do.

I had to check on that one, 6643 is what your profile says. I only count 4 figures there. I had my daughter double check my math (she's edumacated) and she says I'm right on this one.:nener:

That's not a true indication of the number of anyone's posts.

Since the avatar issue wasn't being fixed and immediately followed the posting problem, I figured "outing" the problem would get it taken care of.

Who would you guess was messing with you if you were in my situation? The webmaster, I would think. . .?

Anyway, posting "public" worked, didn't it? ;)

If what was happening is actually not a big deal as so many here have stated then what's the problem with posting it "public".

In some sense, it was a political move on my part. I thought that was appropriate being election season and all. :p

And BTW, there's more support here than just the kids - you just might not see it.

That said, I'll quit "whinning" (in here anyway). :nener:

Yep you became the star for your 15 minutes and won over the kids. Funny though the reaction is a bit different in the political forum to your new cut n paste

Thanks for the compliment - I guess "half-way intelligent" is a compliment. ;)

If only I could have ridden dirt bikes for the last 4 months, I might have been posting more dirt bike stuff and less political stuff (or maybe more dirt bike stuff and the same political. LOL). When I finally got the cast off the broken scaphoid about a month ago, I couldn't really ride at all for a week+ and then it rained for the next 3 weeks. I've only been on the bike a couple times since the break (in July) - and when I have I've been VERY slow, the wrist hurts and the races were pretty much cancelled anyway.

I can understand that now. However, as things recently turned to name calling (and haven't exactly been "good-natured" over there for some time), I took it differently. I'll try to be a bit more thick skinned. . .

From what I've seen thus far, I would agree. After all, I'm still here. ;)

I am sure that would be the case - both in regards to you guys and to me. I'm actually a bit of an introvert and am uncomfortable meeting new people in person.

However, even though I'm quite small as athletics go, I have been known to try an instigate a fight on a soccer field (but only in order to get someone on the other team thrown out of the game). :p

Thanks for the invite. When/where/how? I'd love to.

Now that I have also passed the Ohio Bar (found out last week) I'll shortly be licensed in both WV and Ohio. Hopefully the $$ will start rolling in.
