Do battery powered headlights exist? I understand that Acerbis once made one. After talking with them, I found out it has be discontinued. Strangely enough there was also someone in Cochrane, Alberta, Canada that made them. The latter was a regular headlight housing with a sealed battery pack behind the number plate. It had an on/off toggle switch and fed the head and tail light.

Anyone know of a company that still makes these? Does anyone have a used one for sale?

A quick makeshift headlight,

Toy stores sell the power wheels,[ the electric motorized machines for kids]
well the battereies are a 6 or 12 volt, you can get the chargers as well, You may even have one laying around if you have kids. Well with a little creativity , you can make one. The batteries are relatively large and I don't know if I would head out in the middle of the night for a ride alone, but it would work.

an airbox might be a good place to mount the battery,

The set up can be easily made, modified and is temporary.....

I would first test battery longevity with lighting set up before a ride..
Good Luck
