Best Radiator Guard/Support (Devol, WC, etc.)?

Hi folks - just picked up a 1995 CR500R and would like to install radiator braces. I ride New England woods, and am mostly worried about pretzeling the rads during the inevitable side dumps. I had Works Connection braces on my 1995 WR250 and liked them; however, any take on the best, most supportive design? I don't have a lot of issues with things poking through the radiators (or rocks hitting them) so having metal screens on the front (like Devol's) is not my primary concern - structural suport is. What works the best? As always, thanks for the advice.

I had a chance to compare both for the 00cr125 and 250. The DeVol design is alot tougher than the FC and is also lighter because it is made of aluminum. The way it uses extention plates to use the frame as support is unbeatable. The fit and finish is another thing though. I had to re-drill a few holes to fit the brace as it should. There are some other things from FC that are good but the rad guards are better from Devol.

The devol guard restricts airflow to radiator, and may cause premature overheating resulting in engine damage. Stick to guards that brace it not cover it

I've had Devols for an entire season and never had a problem even laying out event trail in super tight slow sections.

Yeah , but that will happen only if you leave em in the bag when you install them. :p
Just Kidn. I have to admit that in Canada the weather is not nearly as warm as in... say, Texas. That may be why I haven't experienced overheating with devol rg. It may be another story where the weather is really hot.

I live in Texas and have had no problems with the Devol guards on my 2001 CR 250R. They fit right up, no problem. They look cool.

I even painted my Devol guards black to attract a little more heat:debil: .

Seriously, I don't think they block air flow at all. They do protect the radiator from a serious side blow. Well worth the money.
