I have read the many great posts on radiator protection and recognize that there are two types: radiator braces and radiator guards.

The braces are for side impact protection and the guards are for front protection. I probably need the side protection and so would probably go with the Works Connection radiator braces.

However, the devol site has what could be new guards that claim to provide front and side protection. Are these a new version of their guards? Can anybody give us a report on these?

Whats up Jim? :yeehaw: We need to hook up on the Mudsprings Trail there Partner. :aj: I run the Devol Guards on the 90KDX & swear by them. The right radiator had a slight bow in it when I bought the bike. The Shroud bolts directly to the lower radiator so when you go down theres no support on the shroud except for the radiator. A piss-poor design. I've Bounced the KDX off a few Sycamore trails with no problems at all. Still straight & No-Leaky. I've heard it mentioned about a slight air-flow reduction but haven't noticed it. The Radiator braces aren't available for the Old KDX. :bang:

A couple pics of the Devol Guards on the KDX.
