Huge Leonid meteor shower this year, 4am-6am e.s.t. Sunday morning. (11/18/01) Apparently our big ball of dirt is moving through a larger than normal debis field this year, and we can expect 2000 meteors per hour. East coast viewers can expect them coming straight down from above...west coasters will see them trail across the sky. Read it for yourselves...should be cool.

Oh yeah, I remember Porky's.

I saw a pretty good shower scene once. My little bro was stationed in Hawaii at Barber's Point. He took me to a place in Honolulu called the Yellow Rose (I think). They had the best shower scene I've ever seen.

...actually the best shower scene I have seen is from the future Mrs. Titanium...and it's on tape for $9.95. Wait a minute, this is going to be my wife for goodness sake...better make it $19.95 (just kidding).

The Leonid shower was very nice here on the east coast. Many, many meteorites ripping through the sky, most I saw came in 3's or more within a few seconds. Some were so bright and wide they "burned" a streak in the sky for about 15 seconds after they were gone. The greatest thing I saw though wasn't in the sky...it was all the people on the ground. Around Wash. DC it was almost like 4th of July in some spots, people were parked all over the GW parkway in large groups. After we had enjoyed the company of numerous complete strangers (at 4am), it hit me how nice of a break this is in our lives right now...even if it's for just a night.

Yep Wes, you remember correctly. There was another place one street over called the Classic Cat too. Man I sometimes miss being stationed there................

Man what a rip-off!!! I missed the Northern lights two weeks ago and had to listen to everyone blather on about how awesome it was. I happened to wake up about 4 this morning to tap a kidney and thought "hey, maybe I can see the meteor shower!" NOPE! overcast, and foggy. Maybe next time.:(
