After only a year or so I am in need of new boots. My current boots, Alpinestars Tech-3, are just fine except on the inside of the right foot where the rear brake lever has just torn the soles apart.

Do any of the brands / models of boots reinforce this area so that the brake lever doesn't shred the soles?

Consider going by a shoe & boot repair shop. Most can resole boots for a reasonable cost and can possible make any adjustments you might want to make them wear better. There are some online sources for this as well but it involves shipping.

i have sixsixone boots and theyre awsome. The areas where the brake pedal and shift lever are on both boots has a reallt tough rubberish plastic. Ive had them for 2 years and not even a scratch on the boots and i ride pretty much every weekend
