broked headlight shroud 2000 KDX200

Any low cost replacement ideas? Oem $90-$100. Aftermarket is fine...anyone willing to give up their hard found parts go to place that has the best prices??

If anyone is interested, the shroud has a weak spot where the plastic up top is attached to the back of the front plate. I used J-B weld to fix the headlight shroud in this area. It seems to be stronger than new..Saved some $ this time. It might be a good preventive ahead of time to reinforce it before it breaks. Just a thought...
I still would like some ideas for low cost aftermarket replacement if you have any...

a lot of people use the UFO ones, the look the same, except they mount using rubber straps that wrap arround the fork tubes.... Do some looking arround. I have 2 of them brand new, but they are purple.... And the headlight has to be wired on these..... but it's either that or like $80 for the oem part from bike bandit

It doesn't take much of a bump to break the mounting tabs on a KDX head light and that's because they are solidly mounted so they can't flex at all. UFO and Acerbis sell replacement mounting straps for their head lights that can be adapted to the stock KDX headlight. This will allow you to convert from a ridge to a flexible mounting system and greatly reduce your changes of breaking a light.

I'll second that! Since mounting mine with the rubber straps I've taken several nasty crashes into trees and rocks. The white decal is all gouged but the plastic and the lens are both OK.
Kawy used the straps for the KLX300 but not for the KDX.
