cam bearing failures?

Just curious as to how many cam bearing failures there have been so for on the 400sx, 01 models. And what type of riding they do mostly

I have heard of 4. One on DRN, two on Thumpertalk, one occured on a local 520. It is not 400 specific, because basically, both motors are the same. It is also not SX, MXC, or EXC, specific. I am wavering back and forth between the '02 400SX (with improved bearings), and the '02 CRF450 (1st year model - so who knows??).

Strick,I too am trying to decide on a new bike, one because I just can't seem to jel with the suspension on my 400sx .I am considering the yz 250 and cr 250, and the cr450.

Hi All,
I have had this problem on my 01 400exc. I also know of 4 or 5 others in Australia, 1 in Sth Africa and 1 in Singapore. Interest from KTM in Australia has been very poor.
