So this bike sat for a couple of years (02 kdx 220) I changed the gas and looked it over good before I rode it but notice gas weaping out of the float bowls overflow tube. Is it usually a piece of junk on the needle/seat?

I had been thinking about buying one of these for years, glad I got this one.

Clean the stale gas residue out of the carb especially in the needle and seat area. Check the float level (I set mine at a 2mm lower fuel height to reduce "peeing" when on the kick stand) and you'll be all set.

Take the carb off and clean, clean clean. Its the fuel valve thats giving you the problem. Be aware when you take it apart the pin that holds the floats also holds the fuel valve also. I was not paying attention when I did mine and after putting back together had fuel pissing out. I looked down on the ground and there was the fuel valve. Clean your jets also and problem should be solved.
