carbon fiber pipe guards?

has any one put a carbon fiber pipe guard on and felt a difference in preformance? i read an ad about the e-line carbon fiber pipe guard and it said added horse power because of increased exaust temp.:silly:

i guess it could have a performance increase compared to a pipe that was dented. being as it would maintain the same performance. but..i would think to much exhaust heat to a point would be bad..
