Going back together with the new Hinson clutch basket. Instructions say to peen the back side of the screws holding on the ring gear with a center punch and hammer. How far do you take this? I hit it each one twice and doesn't look like I have done much deforming. Is that enough or do you peen them over like a rivet? Screws seem like they are very hard to deform. I did of course go over board on the red threadlocker. Thanks for your replys.

You'll Be Fine...

I just peened mine right in the middle with a vry sharp chisel. Couldn't see much deformation....but it did it believe me. Plus..there isnt much room for the ends to mushroom when hit...so it's hard to see.
