I have a 2002 YZ-125 with a bad clutch. We only use the bike for trail riding, so the stress on the clutch isn't that what it would be if we raced the bike. I have a severe dragging problem with it. When the clutch is pulled, the transmission does not disengage, and the bike stalls when it is stationary with the clutch pulled. We had it down to the local motorcycle shop and had them take a look. They said that there was metal shards from a previous owner replacing a blown clutch. The mechanic said that the previous owner did not clean it out good enough when the clutch was replaced originally. When we got the bike back, after cleaning all the metal shards out, the clutch did not work any better than when we got it looked at in the first place. What is the problem that we are missing?
