Comparison

Good evening to all. This is my first post on this site. It is also my first intro to off-road biking. All my experience is on the the street - 13 yrs. So, just getting educated. Long story short....to be sure I'm comparing the same fruit from each manufacturer, can someone help me out? Here's what I'm looking at:

Kawa KLX 300
Yam WR250

First - are they in the same category?

Second - which model of Honda matches up best? Suzuki?

The Kawasaki KLX300 would not be in the same line as the WR250F. Yamaha does not make a comparable bike to the KLX300.
