Does anyone know the size of the steering stem nut on this bike.I need to remove the to clamp and need to buy the right wrench.
Like an idiot I broke a screw in the number plate mount and then broke the tap. :flame: Now I need to put it in a vice and don't have a big enough wrench. The 30mm looks close but I want to be sure and the manual doesn't say( or at least I have not found it).
PLEASE HELP!!! :ugg:

Thanks :thumb:

Isn't this nut a spanner type nut? Or the outermost conventional hex nut? I might be able to get you the answer tommorow when I stop by the garage.

Actually, if you went out and bought a nice 1/2" drive socket set, between metric and standard should be one that fits nicely.

Fark its the hex nut. I would love to buy a NEW socket set but I just spent $400 on my 250 for RG3 triple clamps, twinwall bars, and dual compound grips so Ann is watching me close. She already gives me that look for breaking it off in there. Now I have to be creative about how to fix it.
